Hello Team Young Community,

As we begin a new school year at Whitney M. Young, Jr. Community School, PS 15, I am filled with pride and anticipation for the journey ahead. Our school community has consistently demonstrated resilience, passion, and the power of unity. This year, we move forward with a renewed focus, driven by our theme: “Excellence by Choice, Not by Chance.”

This theme is more than a saying; it’s a mindset. It reminds us that excellence is not something we stumble upon, but something we pursue deliberately. It shows up in our classrooms, our hallways, and our shared commitment to the success of every student. Each decision we make, from how we teach, learn, and lead, should reflect our choice to aim higher, dig deeper, and support one another in meaningful ways.

Together, with our students, staff, families, and community, we will continue to build an environment where our students are not only encouraged to dream big but are equipped with the tools and support they need to make those dreams a reality. Through collaboration, high expectations, and purposeful action, we will ensure that every student has the opportunity to thrive.
