We are very proud to share that Dickinson HS student Athlete Fiona Graham was awarded a $2,500 check from the NY Jets this past Sunday at the MetLife Stadium. She plays in the school's Girls Flag Football team and was recognized by NY Jets for Latino Excellence in Youth Football Award 🏈
Fiona Graham is a Jersey City native and is currently a junior at William L. Dickinson High School. She graduated from P.S.#5 where she strived daily to receive honor and credit rolls along with her tenure. Her parents came from Chile, which she has only visited twice as a child. Fiona has always had a passion for sports and her favorite being basketball, she loves the Golden State Warriors.
As a freshman at Dickinson, Fiona decided to join the swim team. Her passion for competition grew and in the spring she considered joining the flag football team. Being challenged by her friends to try something new, Fiona stepped out of her comfort zone, gave it a try and fell in love with the game. She continues to have perfect attendance and consistent effort throughout the two years she has been part of the team. She has been a great asset to the team as a leader on and off the field with her tremendous work ethic as a very vocal teammate and leads by example.
